Primary School Mathematics Classroom Teaching Aimed at Cultivating Data Awareness——Taking Percentage Teaching in the Field of Statistics and Probability Published by the SU Edition as an Example
The Mathematics Curriculum Standards(2022 Edition)clearly states that data awareness is not only one of the core competencies of mathematics for primary school students,but also the corresponding core competency in the realm of the"Statistics and Probability".This paper takes the lesson"What Percentages Mean",from the sixth-grade textbook published by Jiangsu Education Press,as an example to analyze the intentions behind the cross-disciplinary adjustment of this content from the perspective of data awareness.It also investigates effective strategies for cultivating students'data awareness in primary school mathematics classes from three aspects:focusing on the intrinsic essentials of knowledge,accurately formulating teaching objectives as well as scientifically performing teaching activities.
