Abstract
London has become a world talent highland through building a world-class education system,which has a remarkable feature among cosmopolitan cities.At the same time,in the context of globalization,London is also facing the dilemma of the development of metropolitan education,with a multicultural background of the student population on the challenge of balanced development of education;the high cost of living in metropolitan areas,high pressure to weaken the attractiveness of young people to choose the teaching profession,London's teaching force is facing a high rate of departure,recruitment rate is insufficient,the shortage of STEM teachers and other issues.In this predicament,London has also,in the midst of the predicament and challenges,actively taken measures and policy support to safeguard the quality of education for disadvantaged and weak schools and students and the overall educational balance of basic education,develop students'scientific literacy and transversal competence,build a support and guarantee system for the high-quality development of teachers,and stimulate the vitality of London's basic education and its global appeal and competitiveness.
