Approaches to Enhancing Our International Cultural Communication Capacity under the Perspective of Communication Studies
International cultural communication capacity of state acts as an important indicator for measuring its soft power.Voice of China currently is increasingly needed in global affairs by other countries,so it is imperative to develop international cultural communication capacity to match our power position. The communication model of Schramm explains the range of shared experience between agents and receivers in communication, and the range of shared experience determines the extent to which both parties can effectively interact in communication, but the model does not try to expand the range of shared experience between them. Therefore, this paper holds that the range of shared experience between agents and receivers can be established and expanded through symbolic and material interactions,to produce effective and stable widespread interaction between them. Finally, this paper puts forward concrete countermeasures to expand the range of shared experience from symbolic interaction and material interaction.
