The Value Orientation of Inclusive Teacher Education in the Context of High-Quality Development
Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the education sector in China has experienced significant developmental transformations,particularly with the implementation of inclusive education,which has facilitated the integration of students with special educational needs into the mainstream education system.This paper provides an in-depth analysis of the current status and challenges of inclusive teacher education,highlighting the crucial role of teacher education in promoting educational equity and inclusiveness.It argues that the successful implementation of inclusive education depends not only on the professional skills of teachers but more importantly on the cultivation of their values,namely the awareness of inclusiveness and the commitment to educational equity.By examining the basic characteristics,core values,and practical directions of inclusive teacher education,the paper emphasizes its interdisciplinary nature,diversity,and the core value of promoting educational equity and comprehensive student development.Furthermore,it discusses the key role of value orientation in inclusive teacher education and proposes strategies for high-quality development such as deepening curriculum design,enhancing teachers'self-reflection and professional development,innovating educational practices,and strengthening cooperation with communities and families.
