Antioxidant and Improvement of Liver Injury in Mice by Sarcopyramis Nepalensis Wall Aqqueous Extracts
Objective:To study protective effect of aqqueous extracts from Sarcopyramis Nepalensis Wall(SNE)on acute alcoholic liver injury in mice.Method:Prepare the SNE aqqueous extracts, and then hydroxyl free radicals and DPPH radicals methods were used to evaluate antioxidant activity.Kunming male mice were randomly divided into six groups, namely blank group, alcoholic group, positive control group with Bifendatatum, and high, medium, low dose of SNE groups respectively. Then blood was collected from eyeball for testing ALT activity and AST activity, liver tissue was dissected and modified into slice for HE staining, and liver tissues GSH content,GSH-PX activity,SOD activity and MDA content were assayed with kits.Result:The SNE aqqueous extracts possessed high efficiency to has scavenge hydroxyl free radicals and DPPH radicals.Compered with model group, the degree of hepatic steatosis decreased constantly with the increasing dose of SNE,and the alcohol-induced injuries were relieved.SNE aqqueous extracts significantly improve the anti-oxidative biochemical indexes stimulated by alcohol. The enzyme activity of AST and ALT in the body of mice were significantly decreased respectively by SNE treatment, the content of GSH,GSH-PX and SOD were increased respectively, and the content of MDA wase reduced. Conclusion:The SNE aqqueous extracts has improve the alcoholic liver injury in mice by strengthening the ability of anti-oxidation.
