The Relationship Between Different Types of Childhood Adversities and Adolescent Mental Health
This research investigated the relationship between childhood adversities and the mental health of adolescents,providing a scientific foundation for targeted adolescent health education and intervention.Employing a random sampling method,the study utilized the Adverse Childhood Experiences International Questionnaire(ACE-IQ)to assess childhood adversities among adolescents and the Symptom Checklist-90(SCL-90)to evaluate their mental health status.Logistic regression models were employed to analyze the risk factors of childhood adversities influencing adolescent mental health.The results revealed that among 1616 adolescents,the detection rate of psychological issues was 16.2%.The prevalence of childhood adversities was 79.3%,with emotional neglect,peer bullying,family history of addiction,domestic violence,and emotional abuse being associated with their mental health.Adolescents commonly experience childhood adversities,with emotional neglect and peer bullying playing a crucial role in the development of mental health.
