The study discusses the application of a blended online-offline teaching model based on Small Private Online Courses(SPOC)in pediatric education.205 students who entered the Children's Hospital of Soochow University for study in 2020 and 2022 were randomly divided into an experimental group(n=103)and a control group(n=102)according to the random number method.The experimental group was introduced to a blended online-offline teaching model based on SPOC,while the control group used traditional teaching methods.The students'scores and satisfaction under both teaching models were compared.In formative assessments,final exams,and overall scores,the experimental group was significantly higher than the control group(p<0.01 in all cases).The satisfaction rating of the experimental group for the teaching staffwas significantly higher than that of the control group(χ2=6.01,p=0.048).The blended online-offline teaching model based on SPOC can effectively improve the clinical scores and abilities of students in pediatrics,and has high promotional and application value.
