The Application of"1+2+5"Mentoring Model Toward Undergraduate Students
This study analyzed the current situation of the Chinese academic mentorship system and compares the differences between Chinese and foreign systems. We found that the academic mentorship system in Chinese higher education institutions still lacks attention on building the system, the development is unbalanced and incomplete, the collaboration and integration are inadequate.Based on the situation,we propose a"1+2+5"mentoring model for the education of undergraduate students. This model uses social contagion theory to promote the all-round moral, intellectual, physical and aesthetic development of the majority of student groups through the appeal and exemplary behavior of elite students and groups. In addition,we also proposed implementation strategies for this model, including strengthening responsibilities, leveraging organizational strengths, and improving educational capabilities.
