With the development of economy,the consumer products have become one of the important sources of exposure that consumers contact to chemical pollutants.In order to ensure the health and safety of consumers and carry out the exposure assessment of consumer product safety effectively,this paper focused on the consumer-specific factors in the exposure assessment of chemical hazard sources in consumer products.The research methods and progress of physiological factors(such as body weight,inhalation rate,skin surface area)and consumer behavior factors were introduced,and the advantages and disadvantages of various research methods were reviewed.The availability of existing data on exposure factors related to consumer product safety was analyzed.Then,the development direction of exposure factors research is prospected.
