Objective To explore the clinical effect of self-made Qiangyao decoction combined with electroacupuncture in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation(LDH)with sciatica.Methods A total of 128 patients with LDH combined with sciatica treated in Sanya People's Hospital from April 2022 to April 2023 were divided into the control group(n =64)and observation group(n =64)by random number table method.The control group received electroacupuncture therapy,and the observation group was treated with self-made Qiangyao decoction on the basis of control group.The score of TCM,pain degree and lumbar function were compared be-tween the two groups before and after treatment.Results After treatment,the scores of TCM,PRI,VAS,PPI,and ODI in both groups were significantly lower than those before treatment(P＜0.05),while JOA score was significantly higher(P＜0.05),and the scores of TCM,PRI,VAS,PPI,and ODI in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group after treat-ment(P＜0.05),while JOA score was significantly higher(P＜0.05).Conclusion The combined treatment of self-made Qiangyao decoction and electroacupuncture can effectively relieve the clinical symptoms of patients with LDH combined with sciatica,and has a positive effect on improving the lumbar function.
