Objective To explore relationship between overall survival and activities of daily living(ADL)in patients with spinal metastases(SM)who received radiotherapy. Methods 201 SM patients who received radiotherapy in our hospital from January 2018 to January 2021 were analyzed retrospectively. The clinical parameters and overall survival time of patients were collected, and the me-dian overall survival time of patients was used as the judgment standard, and the patients were divided into a good prognosis group(≥2 years)and a poor prognosis group(<2 years). The clinical data of patients with good and poor prognosis were compared using chi-square test or t test or nonparametric test, and multivariate analysis was carried out using Cox risk model. Results Univariate analysis showed that there was a statistically significant difference in ADL between the good prognosis group and the poor prognosis group(P<0.05);there was no significant difference in age, gender, comorbidity, and spinal metastases between the two groups(P>0.05),while there were significant differences in NRS,primary site, brain metastases, metastases to other organs, levels of spinal metastases, spinal stability and treatment strategies between the two groups(P<0.05).The Cox risk model showed that high ADL,primary breast site, and chemotherapy were protective factors for poor prognosis(P<0.05).Conclusions ADL is an influencing factor of the over-all survival of SM patients receiving radiotherapy, and the overall survival of patients with high ADL is higher than that of patients with low ADL.
