Advancements and Reflections on the Empirical Research Paradigm in Educational Economics:a Case Study Based on Literature Analysis of Education and Economics from 1985 to 2023
This study utilizes literature from Education and Economics spanning the years 1985 to 2023 as research sam-ples to systematically trace the development trajectory of educational economics research in China.Through statistical a-nalysis of keywords,data sources,and research methods,it was found that educational economics research in China closely follows the national educational policy orientation,as the research focus has gradually shifted from a macro,na-tional,and regional level to a macro,micro,and individual level,and the research method paradigm has transitioned from qualitative to quantitative.In the future,educational economics research in China needs to strive towards construc-ting a Chinese-style theoretical system of educational economics that is adaptive to the national context,promoting inter-disciplinary integration and innovation,exploring appropriate research methods and integration paths,expanding the per-spective of human capital,strengthening educational participation,to meet the diverse demands of educational develop-ment,and further enhance the international competitiveness and practical application value of educational economics re-search in China.
