Interdisciplinary Knowledge Diffusion in China's Pedagogy:A Perspective Based on Big Data Citation
The degree of interdisciplinary knowledge diffusion is an important basis for the measurement of the status and impact of a discipline.Based on the big data cited from journals on non-pedagogy and pedagogy,plus the newly-constructed dynamic system model for interdisciplinary knowledge diffusion,this study analyzes the trend and mechanism of interdisciplinary knowledge diffusion in pedagogy.The authors find that over the past 23 years in the 21st century,especially since the 18th CPC National Congress,there has been trumpet-shaped rapid diffusion of pedagogy to external disciplines,especially to soft disciplines.Interdisciplinary knowledge diffusion in pedagogy is due to the systematic efficacy of the internal and external dynamics of pedagogy.At the macro level,there are current affairs and hot topics,such as important speeches by national leaders,important policies,and significant conferences;at the meso level,external disciplines heed education in their development;and at the micro level,there are growing and extensive interdisciplinary studies in pedagogy.All these become the external dynamics for interdisciplinary knowledge diffusion in pedagogy.The internal dynamics for interdisciplinary knowledge diffusion in pedagogy include the accumulation of pedagogical knowledge like higher education pedagogy,curriculum teaching,teacher education,and basic theories of education;the introduction and innovation of research methods such as grounded theory,cross-sectional study and knowledge visualization;and the continuous improvement of the quality of high-impact academic journals such as Educational Research.To promote interdisciplinary knowledge diffusion in pedagogy,we need to strengthen policy guidance,and prosper the innovation of pedagogy knowledge production;enhance academic taste,and expand the external influence of pedagogy;deepen the disciplinary reform,and strengthen interdisciplinary research in pedagogy;and promote methodological innovation,and make more contributions in interdisciplinary research in pedagogy.
