From"Adapting to the Future"to"Living Together"——On the Situational View of the Curriculum Reform in Basic Education
The situational view of the curriculum reform relates to the fundamental direction of the curriculum reform in basic education.Between"adapting to the future"and"living together"("creating a new form of human civilization"in the process of realizing Chinese modernization),there are different perspectives and situational concepts that define the"future,"and they need to be clarified theoretically.Based on the co-structuring relationship between the curriculum, the reform and the situations, this study builds an analytical framework, and analyzes the curriculum reform-based situational view of"adapting to the future"and"living together."The research results show the following:The curriculum reform-based situational view of"adapting to the future"assumes a highly-uncertain future society, and based on the special present situation, the transferable current situation, the future social situation, and the instrumental value of knowledge,it strives to develop the mental model of individuals and demonstrate the cultural position of the curriculum reform in the relationship between"people and things,"but it faces the dilemma of situational expansion, mental disorder and historical rupture;the curriculum reform-based situational view of"living together"follows the original meaning of ethics, and in the symbiotic state of certainty in the future society, based on the position of civilization, individuals'establishment of their social positions in their growth plus their development of moral character in the current situation, the development of individual competences, and the cultivation of virtue,it constructs the curriculum's current situation and future social relations so as to construct both publicity and individuality.
