On Construction of an Integrated Education Mechanism with Joint Efforts from Higher-learning and Scientific Research Institutions——Based on the Perspective of Resource Dependence Theory
The"sci-tech,research,education and teaching"integrated collaborative talent cultivation mechanism is an innovative approach that aims to meet the demands of key and core technological challenges,pool all resources from scientific research institutes into student cultivation at universities,jointly nurture professionals through strengthening interaction between teaching and research,and enhance with the effort the training quality and autonomous cultivation capabilities of top-tier innovative students who are strong in fundamental disciplines.Base on the perspective of resource dependence theory,this study analyzes the integrated coordinated education mechanisms of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences(UCAS)and the University of Science and Technology of China(USTC).It also probes into the characteristics and shortcomings of the two universities in implementing the mechanism.Finally,the author proposes some measures and suggestions for the construction of the collaborative talent cultivation mechanism,including clarifying the needs of education,constructing better cooperative relationship,enhancing the level of cooperation,and improving the top-layer design.
