On the basis of the metallurgical thermodynamics on reduction of MoO3 by C,Si,Mn,Fe and other elements in the liquid steel,the direct alloying experiment of molybdenum concentrate is conducted in AOD furnace.The effects of feeding time,feeding method,melting temperature and steel composition on the molybdenum yield are analyzed.The results show that the highest molybdenum element yield rate can be achieved by using the feeding method of adding molybdenum oxide ore balls and covering them with alkaline slag,which can reach 98.33%;the molybdenum concentrate being added into AOD furnace with the carbon content of 0.8%can obtain higher yield at the same feeding amount;in pure iron solution with a mass fraction of 4.00%,the rate of 1600 ℃ carbon molybdenum oxide reduction is significantly higher than 1500 ℃,and the rate of molybdenum oxide reduction of silicon element with different content in pure iron liquid is all higher than that of carbon.
