The rapid development of unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)oblique photography real-time 3D modeling technology provides a new technical solution for updating and surveying large-scale topographic maps.This article takes the 1:500 large-scale topographic map updating project in Chun'an County as an example.Firstly,it introduces the UAV real-time 3D modeling technology and the operation process of topographic map updating and surveying based on this technology.Then,the key technologies in the operation are explained.Finally,the accuracy of the digital topographic map produced in this article is tested using inspection points collected in the field.The detection results indicate that the scheme can meet the accuracy requirements of 1:500 topographic map update and can provide reference for similar project production.
