This paper takes the local architecture in Jin dialect area in Northern Henan as the research object,and studies its regional characteristics from three levels:house,courtyard and settlement.Three conclusions are drawn.First of all,the local architectural form is not only affected by the geo-graphical environment,but also formed three residential types:Jiyuan Xuanshan house,Jiaozuo moun-tain hoarding house and Anyang slate house.At the same time,influenced by the cultural environ-ment,the hard mountaintop in Jiaozuo and Xinxiang and the flat roof houses in Hebi have been formed.Secondly,the courtyard form is related to the local environment,forming the wide courtyard in Jiyuan and the horizontal wide courtyard in Anyang.Third,the settlement mainly includes mountain stronghold,plain village castle,commercial road settlement and other forms.The types of local archi-tecture are rich,and the regional characteristics and their causes are closely related to the local envi-ronment and multiculturalism.
