A corpus-based study on the translation universal and overseas commu-nication of Taiji classics
Chinese Taiji classics are a part of Chinese classical books.Based on the corpus of Chinese Taiji classics,the author concluded translation methods and found the common law.Research shows that translators mostly choose interpretation,and they also add contents.The translators of Chinese Taiji clas-sics can be divided into three categories:overseas Chinese,foreign translators and Chinese translators.The degree of vocabulary variation and word richness of the translated text of overseas translators are lower than those of overseas Chinese,and the words of the translated text are simpler.Overseas Chinese use more diverse words and more high-frequency words.The vocabulary diversity and vocabulary diffi-culty of Chinese translators are between those of overseas Chinese and overseas translators,but the use of high-frequency words is the least and the translation is more inclined to bring new content.Based on the language evaluation theory,this paper analyzes the corpus of readers'comments on Taiji classics and finds that translation is an important index affecting readers'evaluation,and overseas Chinese transla-tions are more acceptable than overseas translators.
