Connecting past and present,innovating with history:the Qinghui Pavilion project on the Jialing River in Nanchong
The reshaping of historical buildings bears a dual mission of connecting the past and the pres-ent,it commonly faces challenges such as insufficient local expres-sion,functional obsolescence,and negative isolation in urban relation-ships.This paper integrates narra-tive space theory with theories of historical building renewal design.The study achieves the efficient integration of Qinghui Pavilion's distinctive restoration and modern functions with traditional forms by employing"space extension,time reproduction,and event arrange-ment.
