Neo-intelligent construction:design-build for manufacture and practices
Addressing the gap between the architectural de-sign and manufacturing sectors,namely the"separation"of de-sign and production,this article proposes the approaches based on production processes includ-ing integrated design,design for manufacture and assembly(DFMA),and adaptation of ma-terials and techniques.Through case studies,we demonstrate the significant impact of techno-logical innovation and workflow optimization on architectural de-sign,aiming to achieve a closer integration of"design,produc-tion,and construction".
