Conserving and enhancing the ecological environment and cultural landscape:planning of Daming Lake Scenic District,Jinan
The design team restored Jinan Daming Lake from a"lake in the park"to a"lake in the city",and com-pletely retained the original shoreline of Daming Lake.In addition to the pro-tection of tangible historical elements such as traditional streets and alleys,ancient and famous trees,and springs,we also pay attention to the protection and excavation of intangible cultural heritage,and restore the original cultural sites.In terms of design techniques,it relies on traditional Chinese construc-tion philosophy and adapts measures to local conditions,so that the expanded Xiaodong Lake and Daming Lake Scenic Area are coordinated and unified.
