The necessity of updating and iterating the concepts and methods of urban design,implementation and management
Under the inevitable trend of intensive land use,facing with the com-plex characteristics of the city and society,Academician Meng Jianmin considers that concepts and methods of urban design need to be updated and iterative,so does urban construction and management.Based on practical experiences,he puts forward the theory of complex urban design to analysis urban construction systematically.This in-terview discusses complex issues and ideas in urban construction from multiple perspec-tives such as high-density,urban integration and major engineering.
