Exploration and practice of traditional relationship creation in modern residential space
Upon the practition of Xi-Yuan Architecture Design Studio in recent years,the paper reflects on the way of integrating modernity and tradition.By learning from traditional culture and Chinese gardens,we try to bring the subtle"relationship"between people and objects,objects and objects to the daily life,then re-examine the significance of"form"and"symbol"in cul-ture,as well as their roles in spatial design.The traditional"mood"in modern residential spaces has been constructed during the ren-ovation of existing building,which leads to a possble approach of Chinese modernization against the increasingly homogeneousness in contemporary residential space.
