Exploration of the practice of collaborative education of large span architecture and structure in Harbin Institute of Technology
As building's skeleton,structure significantly impacts its form,space,func-tion,and quality.Large-span buildings,due to large space properties,rely heavily on structure.Efficient and exquisite structural design offers lighter weight,larger spans,and enhanced performance,while also exhibiting the beauty of structural strength.Therefore,it is important that large-span buildings are used to cultivate the under-standing of structure,build knowledge sys-tems,and integrate architectural and struc-tural knowledge in architectural education.The essay reviews the teaching practice achieved in different periods,summarizes the collaborative teaching mode of archi-tecture and structure with the characteris-tics of Harbin Institute of Technology and highlighting structure's importance in archi-tectural education and promoting interdisci-plinary integration,provides a reference for high-quality architectural education in new contexts.
