The development of world architecture——taking the World Expo technological rationalism architecture as an example to summarizethecontext and continuation
the World Expo is divided into two types:com-prehensive and specialized,organized by the host country to showcase the cultural,techno-logical,and industrial achieve-ments of various countries.This article follows the development trajectory of Expo architecture,with a global perspective and time as the clue,to present the charm of world architecture.It analyzes the essential con-nections between architecture and rationalism,as well as irra-tionalism,and concludes that Expo architecture indicates the direction of world architecture's development.This paper ana-lyzes the architecture of China Pavilions at Expos from 1982 to 2020,summarizing the trends in development,and thereby looks forward to the future evolution of Chinese architectural creative ideas at World Expos.
