Study on Over-limit Structural Design of a Specially Decorated High-rise Office Building in Shanghai
Focusing on the special decoration project of an over-limit high-rise office building built in 1995 in Shanghai, the reinforcement and renovation design of an existing building without prior over-limit analysis is explored. The key aspects of the reinforcement design are detailed, including seismic measures, computational analysis, and primary reinforcement strategies.Structural modeling and analysis are conducted using various software tools to ensure the safety of the structure under both design intensity and rare seismic events.Reinforcement techniques include strengthening of shear walls, columns, and beams, with a preference for lightweight reinforcement methods to minimize the impact on the original structure. The project successfully guarantees structural safety, preserves the original structure to the greatest extent, and demonstrates excellent economic feasibility, offering a reference for similar over-limit high-rise building retrofits.
