Study on Application of Healing and Rehabilitation Functions in Landscape Design of Mental Illness Centers
With growing societal attention on mental health, the role of healing and rehabilitation functions in landscape design is increasingly emphasized in mental illness treatment.Based on the theoretical framework of a multi-dimensional healing environment, the landscape design of the"Shanghai National Mental Illness Medical Center Entrance Landscape Renovation and Improvement"project is systematically analyzed.Quantitative analysis of the contribution of different landscape design elements to patient healing is conducted through patient feedback evaluation. Results indicate that effective landscape design can enhance psychological satisfaction and alleviate symptoms like anxiety and depression.Designs emphasizing natural elements significantly stimulate positive emotions and aid attention recovery.Furthermore, comparing health indicators before and after different design implementations confirms the importance of well-planned circulation paths and private spaces in promoting social interaction and protecting privacy, providing scientific guidance for landscape design in mental illness centers.
