Old communitiesnot only have been built for years with outdated facilities and environment,but also are characterized by the aging of residents.According tointernational standards for the population,the Gusu District of Suzhou has entered a deep aging society,so it is urgent to carry out senior-friendly renewal of existing old communities.By evaluating facilities and conducting questionnaire surveys in old communities with the highest degree of aging in Gusu District,this paper learned about the daily needs and behavior characteristics of senior citizens,and put forward senior-friendly renewal strategies in the three aspects of the supply of facilities,renewal of public spaces,and community governance.
