A Study of Renewal Design for Old Communities From the Perspective of All-age Communities
With the development of cities, there is a growing concern from all sectors of society about the transformation and utilization of space in old communities, where the renewal of public space is being carried out vigorously, but spatial renewalis still in the exploratory stage. As the age structure of the population changes in the society and needs of different groups are increasingly varied, old communities are often faced with problems such as"conflicts among age groups"and"failure to meet the needs of special age groups"in the utilization of space, which pose new challenges to their spatial optimization and renewal.Compared with common communities,all-age communities are characterized by covering all age groups, meeting the needs of multiple age groups such as adolescents, young and middle-aged people, and the elderly,as well as their changing needs in the whole life, and better emphasizing the integration of different age groups to achieve intergenerational interaction and communion. With the spatial renewal of old communities as a research object, this paper summarized measures for their spatial renewal from the perspective of all-age communities by considering the needs of residents in different age groups,so as to provide references for the creation of more inclusive and sustainable space in old communities, revitalize old communities and bring a better experience of living toresidents.
