This study mainly investigated the circumstances of the invalidation of the contract for construction projects,which involved problems such as the contractor being unqualified,invalid project bidding or the invalidation of winning a bid,and illegal subcontracting.Based on the existing literature,legal consequences incurred by the invalidation of the contract and corresponding countermeasures were also explored,including discount compensation,compensation and project payment,criminal liabilities,and proof of losses.In addition,innovative research was also suggested for the invalidation of the contract,such as performing in-depth study and analysis combining practical cases,and formulating framework and standard contracts.This may be of certain reference value for learning about legal stipulations on and handling methods of the invalidation of contracts for construction projects,to further promote standardized and sustainable development of the construction engineering field.
