An Analysis of Industrial Heritage Preservation in China Based on the Concept of Regenerative Architecture:A Case Study of the New Shougang High-end Industrial Service Area
As the urbanization process accelerates,industrial heritage conservation and reuse become an important subject for urban regeneration.This study,based on the regenerative architecture concept,preliminarily analyses the industrial heritage conservation in China with a particular focus on the Shougang High-end Industrial Service Area.Moreover,the procedures and techniques used in architectural regeneration.Following an explanation of key terms,this paper discusses and illustrates the methods and phases involved in architectural regeneration.Lastly,a thorough examination of the renovation of the Shougang Big Air Venue is conducted,demonstrating the creative amalgamation of contemporary features with the preservation of historical and cultural importance in industrial heritage locations.In summary,this paper acknowledges the critical role that regenerative architecture plays in industrial relic conservation.In light of this,considerations and recommendations for future work have been made.
