Research on the Renewal Design of Industrial Architectural Heritage from the Perspective of Spatial Narrative:A Case Study of Nanling Water Plant in Changchun City
In the context of China's shift in urban renewal from large-scale demolition and construction to more nuanced micro-renewal,industrial architectural heritage in cities is also transitioning towards renewal design that adapts to the needs of modern urban life.Against this backdrop,Nanling Water Plant in Changchun City has commenced its renewal, renovation, and protection. The renewal and renovation of industrial architectural heritage face the need for historical and cultural reshaping. This reshaping design can be clarified by logical semantics under the theory of spatial narrative. Therefore, taking the renewal of Nanling Water Plant as an example, this paper analyzes and explores the material and immaterial elements of spatial narrative in the water cultural eco-park,obtains a form that integrates spatial narrative theory and urban industrial heritage renewal design, and provides a basis for the renewal of industrial architectural heritage in cities.
