Project Management Considerations and Practices under the Architect-Led Model:A Case Study of the Mingguang Village Area Renovation Project in Haidian District
This paper uses the renovation project of the Mingguang Village area in Haidian District,Beijing,as a case study to delve into project management control and design coordination practices under the architect-led model.Under the policy framework of the Guidelines for the Pilot Implementation of the Architect-Led Model issued by the Beijing Municipal Commission of Planning and Natural Resources,the paper first explains the definition,characteristics,team structure,and division of responsibilities of the architect-led model,highlighting its significant advantages.Then,the specific example of the Mingguang Village project demonstrates the application effects of the architect-led model in comprehensive design coordination,multi-disciplinary collaborative management,quality control,and cost optimization.The study shows that the architect-led model not only enhances the efficiency and quality of project management control but also promotes mutual benefits among all parties involved,providing valuable references for the construction of affordable rental housing in Beijing and across the country.
