The paper delves into the life and achievements of Yao Chengzu,encompassing his original manuscript of Yingzao Fayuan and its subsequent supplementary editions.Commencing with the edition curated by Zhang Zhigang,the author proceeds to contrast th e illustrations found in the revised version with those in the original manuscript.Furthermore,the article elucidates the distinction between Yao Chengzu's"Drawing Scroll"and the"Painting".Lastly,it enriches the narrative with biographical details o f Yao Chengzu and compiles a selection of poems composed and presented to him by his contemporaries.
