Study on Spatial Renewal Strategy of Urban Axis Commercial and Residential Segment:A Case Study of the Renovation Scheme of Liuyun District in Guangzhou
With the rapid development of urbanization in our country,some highly mature cities have gradually changed from sprawling incremental development to fine and orderly inventory renewal.As an important public space of the city,the central axis of the city is also in urgent need of spatial renewal,especially for some commercial and residential districts with long ages and complex conditions,which have both the necessity of renovation and the complexity of implementation.Taking the spatial updating of Guangzhou New Central Axis as the background and the renovation of Liuyun District as an example,the paper starts from the overall analysis of Guangzhou New Central Axis(Tianhe Block)and summarizes three key points for the renewal of commercial and residential sections of the urban central axis.Then,combined with the discussion on the values of urban renewal,the overall renewal logic of the Liuyun Community was proposed.Finally,specific renewal strategies are implemented from four aspects:including scale continuity,spatial accessibility,cultural localism,and compound format.The research provides a reference for the spatial updating of the commercial and residential sections of the urban central axis.
