Research on the Slow-traffic Space in Residential Historical Blocks based on PSPL Method:A Case study of Chengnan Historical Block,Gaoyou
The current renewal and improvement of urban public space is gradually expanding from large cities to county-level cities,towns,and other areas.Taking Gaoyou,a county-level city under Yangzhou City,as an example,this paper defines the types and characteristics of the slow-traffic space in its residential historic district,obtains the spatial and crowd behavior characteristics of street nodes based on PSPL survey method,evaluates and analyzes the four indexes of accessibility,safety,comfort and pleasure,and summarizes the status of the slow-traffic system.Establish a mechanism for improving the quality of pedestrian space in residential historic blocks and creating a normal system in order to achieve a targeted and dynamic progressive renewal model.
