Research on the Renewal and Reform of Historic Districts based on the Sponge City Concept:A Case Study of Xuexixiang Block of Hui Community in Xi'an
Historic districts generally have problems such as outdated infrastructure and poor quality of human settlements,which are the focus and difficulty of urban renewal and reform.Based on the concept of sponge city,this paper analyzes the current situation and rainwater and flood management problems of Xuexixiang Block of Hui Community in Xi'an by using research methods such as current situation survey and questionnaire survey,investigates the residents'satisfaction with block space and willingness to renovate,and puts forward the sponge city design strategy of historic district from four aspects:"garden-road-plant-construction".This study provides thinking and reference for exploring sponge design methods suitable for the renewal and reform of historic districts.
