A Discussion on the Cultural Value and Restoration Plan of Jingyue Reservoir
During the pseudo-Manchuria period,Japan built the first water source reservoir for the urban area in Changchun City,known as Jingyue Lake Reservoir.The reservoir mainly consists of an earth dam,spillway,water discharge tower,and water transmission corridor.It was not until 1962 when the Xinlicheng Reservoir was completed that Jingyue Lake was converted to an auxiliary water source.With a history of more than 80 years,Jingyue Lake Reservoir has had a profound impact on the modern development of Changchun.Due to its high historical and cultural value,it is worth protecting.This paper focuses on the current cultural heritage status of Jingyue Lake Reservoir and explores the restoration and protection of the structure.
