Research on Architectural Design based on Locality:Taking Fuzhou University Architecture Department Hall and Civil Engineering Department Hall as Examples
With the rapid advancement of urbanisation, urban architecture tends to neglect the connection between architecture and place. The paper analyses the formation process of in situ architecture from the organic integration of disciplinary clusters on the Qishan Campus of Fuzhou University, study the spatial layout of the architecture and civil engineering pavilions, and examines the intrinsic connection between architecture and site in design and the appropriate response to each element in the site;and explores the integration of architecture with the surrounding environment, climate adaptation, traffic sequence. It also explores the four aspects of in situ design:integration of buildings with their surroundings, climate adaptation, organisation of traffic sequences, and spatial openness and integration.
