Research on the Aging of Living Street Space based on PSPL Survey Method:A Case Study of Siping Road Community in Shanghai
Living streets in old urban areas of China are frequently used by the elderly because of their high density of distribution,close integration with urban life,and proximity to residential areas.In order to investigate the suitability of living street space for the elderly,this paper analyzes the"public space"and"public life of the elderly"in three adjacent streets in Shanghai's Siping Road community through the PSPL method,and deeply analyzes the actual needs,distribution characteristics and behavioral characteristics of the elderly in the street public space.We analyzed the actual needs,distribution characteristics and behavioral characteristics of the elderly in the public space.Through the analysis of the behavioral activities,living environment and spatial needs of the elderly,we summarized the relationship between the behavioral characteristics of the elderly and the spatial environment.
