Comparative Study of of Traditional Fishing Village Settlements in Xiamen:Taking Jimei Dashe Village and Shapowei Area as Examples
There exist many fishing villages along the coast of our country,and the spatial form of traditional fishing villages is constantly being renewed in the process of urbanization.This paper takes the case of Jimei Dashe Village and Shapowei Area to explore the location,history,composition of the population,bloodline and geopolitical,growth of streets,architectural texture and business patterns by means of investigating historical documents,oral interviews and exploring historical maps,etc.,which analyzes the concepts and evolution process of both bloodline fishing villages and geopolitical fishing villages.It provides examples of analysis and directions of thinking on how to preserve the original ecology in the process of urbanization and proposes the suggestions of protecting streets and architectural texture,preserving ecological culture,and avoiding excessive development.
