Explore the Interpretation of the Planning Thoughts in Kao Gong Ji·Craftsman by the Open Capital Cities in Ancient China:Taking the Capital Cities of the Song and Yuan Dynasties as an Example
Kao Gong Ji·Craftsman is the earliest known systematic theory of capital planning in China,and its ideological core is united with ritual rule and centralization of power,and therefore has had a profound influence on the history of ancient capital planning.In this paper,four representative open capital cities of the Song and Yuan Dynasties are selected and analysed for their interpretation and cross-sectional comparison of the planning thoughts in Kao Gong Ji·Craftsman,with the aim of confirming the superiority of the planning model and its ideological connotations,and further understanding the treatment and trade-off of external conditions in the construction of ancient open capital cities.
