摘要
非洲厄立特里亚首都阿斯马拉,曾经的"意属东非",世界遗产名录中"非洲的现代主义城市".其现存的城市景观不仅展现了基于功能和种族隔离的现代殖民城市规划,同时也反映了来自西方世界的现代主义城市与建筑理论在适应当地地理环境后出现的在地嬗变.文章通过实地踏勘和文献资料爬梳,重新考察了这处位于非洲的现代主义试验田,分析其殖民建设特征、阐释其现代性与多元性及对当地人身份认同造成的影响.
Abstract
Asmara,the capital of Eritrea in Africa,is currently recognized as an African Modernist City in the World Heritage List.Its current urban landscape not only demonstrates the modern colonial urban planning based on function and racial segregation,but also reflects the local adaptation of modernist urban and architectural theories from the Western world to suit the local geographical environment.This paper re-evaluates the modernist experiment in Asmara by investigating its urban planning background through fieldwork and literature review.Analyzing the distinctive features of Asmara's colonial planning.
