Research on Facade Decoration Transformation of Official Buildings from the Perspective of Cultural Integration:A Case Study of Taiyuan Governor's Mansion
Taiyuan Governor's Mansion is the core office area of the administrative organs of Shanxi Province during the Republic of China.During the period of 1918 to 1937,it underwent two expansions.The existing buildings in the office have rich facades and various decorative styles,which is the product of the collision of Chinese and western architectural cultures in the administrative reform period of the last century.Through the study of the transformation of the facade decoration of the buildings in the Governor's Mansion,the paper explores its historical bearing value,discusses the political,economic,cultural and other social factors implied behind the transformation of the facade decoration style,and summarizes the overall characteristics of the architectural complex presents a combination of Chinese and western,old and new blend,practical conclusions,in order to provide a certain reference for the protection of historical buildings and contemporary architectural design ideas.
