Big Background Behind Small Houses:Design Practices in Different Contexts
Over the years,the practice and research of rural construction projects have continued.The revitalization of rural areas and the beautiful rural action have become active experimental fields for contemporary architects.The construction types of homestays,inns,and convenience facilities have allowed a group of architects to show their skills.The design practice of architects going to the countryside seems to be a compulsory course for this generation of young architects.When it comes to the countryside,it is always associated with nature and rural scenery,as well as the busy and noisy atmosphere in rural enterprises,in addition to field work.In the sparse rural environment of architecture,novel buildings can increase the recognition and vitality of the location,and also make up for some functional space deficiencies.Generally speaking,the biggest background of such buildings is the vast natural scenery of the countryside,which is also mixed with the humanistic memory of the village or township.Understanding this background and experiencing the contextual language plays an important role in design creation.This article combines the author's own practical work and shares the thoughts and explorations in the design process through two different background rural inns.
