Research on Biodiversity Conservation of Zhangjiabang Wedge-Shaped Green Space in Pudong,Shanghai based on Habitat Construction
Against the backdrop of urbanization leading to the deterioration of the ecological environment and the loss of biodiversity in mega cities, the planned total area of Zhangjiabang wedge-shaped green space in Pudong,Shanghai,is about 14.5km2.As one of the earliest, largest, and most completed wedge-shaped green spaces in Shanghai,it is an important carrier for ensuring the ecological quality of the central city, enriching the habitat system, and strengthening biodiversity protection. This study combines the overall functional layout of green spaces to plan and construct ecological types such as forests and forests, wetlands and aquatic habitats, and grassland open habitats.Based on the foraging, defense, and nesting needs of target species, habitat units such as dense forests, sparse forests, open waters, grassland shrubs, streams, dwarf meadows, and wet ponds are proposed to create near natural and diversified habitats suitable for target species, and specific control requirements have also been put forward for the construction of artificial facilities and human interference in green spaces.
