With the process of urbanization,the renewal of historical districts is imminent.People begin to pay attention to the protection and renewal of historical districts.More and more scholars put forward suggestions and strategies for the renewal of historical districts.This paper takes the historical blocks of Xu Wei's hometown as the research object,puts forward the idea of"harmonious coexistence"based on the"people-oriented"theory of balanced architecture,considers the behavioral and psychological characteristics of the main population of the elderly in Xu Wei's hometown,and tries to propose a block renewal strategy in Xu Wei's hometown.
