With the deepening of population aging in China,traditional old communities,due to their early construction,have lower design standards for elderly-friendly public spaces and are increasingly unable to meet the growing number of elderly residents and their daily needs.Taking the example of Desheng Xin Village in Hangzhou,this paper conducts a survey and analysis of the elderly-friendly features and problems of the three types of public spaces in the community,namely,point,line,and plane,through visualization and other analysis methods.It summarizes the factors affecting the elderly-friendly design of outdoor public spaces and proposes targeted strategies for enhancing elderly-friendly design,aiming to provide reference for the construction of high-quality elderly-friendly public spaces in other old communities.
