French Architectural Heritage Classification and Grading Conservation Regulations and Insights
France was one of the first countries in the world to introduce national legislation for the conservation of historic buildings,and its architectural heritage is now protected by the Heritage Code.In general,France has divided its architectural objects into"listed buildings",which need to be strictly protected and are built long ago and less closely related to modern life,and"registered buildings"and"outstanding contemporary buildings",which are more closely related to modern life and mainly record their changes.This paper made a review of the three categories of French architectural heritage.Based on this,this paper analyzes the identification and conservation methods of the three types of architectural heritage in France,and explores the inspirations of their classification and graded conservation mechanisms for China.
